The Game Of Virtual Life 

Hitorikko is your tiny electronic pet. Look after him, and he will die. Feed him. Watch him grow. If you don`t show commitment once the game has started, you`ll be in trouble. So will your electronic pet. Look out for the warning signs Hitorikko will tell you when he`s hungry, bored or sick.

READ THIS FIRST!

To wake your Hitorikko from his sleep you must do tree things.

1.Firstly, remove the battery tag from the Hitorikko housing ( see diagram, right).
This wakes your little friend from his deep sleep.
2. Secondly, reset the Hitorikko by pushing gently with a pointed ( not sharp ) object like a pen or pencil on to the reset button at the back of the housing.
3.Thirdly, set the correct time so that Hitorikko sleeps and waaakes at the right time. To change the time use the left-hand ( A) select button to set.

 

Your little friend should now appear on the screen as a tiny pulsating egg or heart. In time your pet will appear and your task to rear a happy, healthy Hitorikko begins!.
If you are a good4 pet keeper` and look after your friend well, then he grows up to be a well behaved cute friend, However, if you neglect your pet he may grow up bad- tempered and ugly- it4s up to you!
In order to look after your little friend successfully, you must learn ten Hitorikko functions.
These allow you to feed, exercise and generally keep your pet healthy and happy:-

  FEEDING
When your pet first hatches he will let you know he is hungry by beepinng at you.To feed:-
1.push the select (A) button then confirm with the ( D) button tom start eating.
 

CLEANING
Accidents do happen and Hitorikko will need his lavatory flushed regularly. To flush: press the lavatory icon is highligthted. Then press the (D) confirm button to clean up after Hitorikko.

READING
To soothe and relax your pet select the reading icon and conffirm.

HEATER
Your little friend can catch a cold unless you keep him warm. Press the (A) select button until the heater icon is highlighted then press the (D) confirm button. Now select either heater on or off and then press the (D) confirm button.

MEDICAL AID
If your pet gets sick through lack of food or neglect you will need to give him first aid to make him better.
Press the (A) select button until the first aid icon is highlighted. Then press the (D) confirm button and your little friend gets better. It may take two more applications to completely cure a very sick pet.

GAME 1
Keep your pal amused with this simple left/rigth guessing game. Your pet will spin, using the (A) & (D) buttons try and guess which side your pet will stop on. If you guess rigth he will be very happy. (B) cancels the game.

GAME 2
In this game press (D) and the dice rolls. Guess if the dice will be 1-3 (A) button, or 4-6 (D) button. If you guess correctly your pet will be very happy! (B) cancels the game.

LIGHTS ON/OF
When Hitorikko sleeps you will need to turn out the light . When Hitorikko wakes up you must turn the lighton.
Press the (A) select button until the light icon is highlighted. Press the (D)confirm button, then select either lights on/of and confirm.

CONTINUE
When feeding, this icon is highilghted to indicate that feeding is in progress.

HELP ICON
When your pet is unhappy ie.hungry or ill this icon will highlight. Decide what your pet requires ie. food or medical attention and once given the icon will go out indicating your pet is OK!

STATUS
To check on the general health and happiness of your friend select the statusicon and confirm. Pressing select will now display one of six displays that give you an indication of how well your pet rearing is progressing, full black bars indicate you are doing a good job, empty clear bars, well, you had better rethink your pet strategy!

DEATH
Pet rearing is a full time and difficult job, and sometimes despite your best efforst the inevitable happens and your little pal 4accidently` dies. However, all is not lost, just press the reset button on the housing and shortly another pet will appear for you to try again. As the game plays differently each time maybe this time you will have better luck! After a long, happy life your friend will die 4naturally` and go to heaven as an angel.

NOTE: It is recommended that at the start of each game cycle a fresh set of batteries be used. see below for fitting instructions.

lEnsure that the batteries are changed by an adut.
To replace the batteries.
Remove the two retaining screws from the back of the Hitorikko housing. . Take note of the correct polarity of the batteries before removing and replacing with batteries of the same type . Finally, replace the battery cover and screws and rest the Hitorikko .
Please ensure proper disposal of the exhausted batteries

WARNING! not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts .

- Do not use rechargable batteries with this toy
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types .
- Ensure batteries are inserted wiht correct polarity .
- Remove exhausted batteries immediately .
- Do not short circuit the supply terminals
